Fortunately, there are plenty of free tools available online to help you out, but one of the best available right now is Canva.

Canva is a web graphics editing tool that can be used to create images. In his heart, you could be forgiven for taking this as a "photoshop lite", But it has a very versatile and certainly faster interface.

Getting Started with Canva

Setting up an account with Canva is simple: just sign up with your Facebook or Google account, or use your email.

Once you are logged in, you will be transferred to the Canva dashboard.

From the dashboard, you can start creating whatever kind of image you want. I have used Canva a lot for my social media posts, including the ones I use for my Facebook ads.

It is exceptionally easy to get the right sized images that look right just by choosing the " Facebook Post "Or "Twitter" on the list of resolutions optimized for these platforms.

Creating an image for social networks

We will start with an example and create an image for social networks.

Step # 1: Create a new design

Click on " Create a design To start creating a drawing from a template. Otherwise, choose one of the predefined templates displayed at the top of the Canva dashboard.

Step # 2: Choose a layout or create an image from scratch

A new tab will open in your browser displaying the layouts screen. Scroll through the layouts and choose a design to use for your image.

Step 3: Modify a drawing

Now we are up to the fun part. Once you have your layout, you can start modifying the components of your image. For this example, I want to replace the text. To do this, just double-click on the text box and enter my own text, like this:

Next, I want to replace the top icon with some kind of Facebook logo. To do this I will use the search box to find the image I need and drag the image I want to use (after removing the old icon).

It is easy to resize the images: just drag the corners using the round icons at the corners of the image that appear when selected.

If you prefer to use your own images, you can use the Uploads feature to download images from your computer.

Step 4: Download the image

Click on " Download At the top of the page to upload your image in your chosen format. I will save in PNG.

Completed ! My final image is ready, and you can share it on your Facebook account.
