Would you like to know the importance of the daily schedule of freelancers?

Life as a WordPress freelancer is pretty cool. You work with (what we all know to be) the best content management system. You set your own prices. You choose the clients you want to work with. And all you have to do is make a few things and you're ready to go.

What's not to like?

I think if there is one main downside to working as a freelancer (WordPress or otherwise), that would be the temptation factor. The temptation to turn on your TV for 15 minutes while you eat a warmed burrito. That temptation to spend time with your dog after a particularly difficult task. That temptation to stay in your pajamas all day.

Face yourself, when working as a freelance writer, as it can be tempting to get into a rut and feel too comfortable. Getting too lazy can also mean missing deadlines and producing shoddy work.

And that's a shame for a business.

My personal recommendation, which is also supported by a number of experts, is that you should create a schedule, and stick to it. Everyday. Every week. As long as it takes for it to become second nature.

In this tutorial I will cover some of the benefits of creating a routine for yourself as a WordPress freelancer. I will also develop a brief guide to help you create a calendar from scratch.

What can a pladaily freelance certification?

I'm a big fan of scheduling everything in my life, from doctor's appointments to the more granular tasks in my work workflow. Even if you don't have to be very committed to planning, I believe that bringing moreOrganisation and structure to your professional life can really benefit your WordPress business in the long run.

Here are some of the reasons:

Reason # 1: Time Savings

Success expert Dr Heidi Grant Halvorson said: “Routines remove the need to deliberate over what to do and when (which takes time and energy) because once you've established a routine, you've already made those decisions.».

Consider how much time you can save if you don't have to stop to think about your next task.

Reason # 2: Less stress

More time to work beyond the freedom to work from home (or away from a workplace). If that doesn't sound like a rewarding recipe for less stress in your life, I don't know what it is.

Reason # 3: Stay focused

Without a schedule, you are probably more likely to allow random interruptions to disrupt your workflow. These disturbances might not even come from outside as well.

Reason # 4: Maintain control

I know you probably left the corporate world (or decided never to come in) because you hated feeling like you were thinking under someone else's thumb.

You are a freelance now, so the control is yours. Just remember that planning your day does not mean that you are losing some freedom or control.

Reason # 5: Great professionalism

When you talk to your customers by phone or email, there is an ongoing form of communication between you. And, if they should ask for an unexpected favor, and they realize that you 'are' unavailable or they want to know your availability, how will you respond?

Without a well-managed calendar in front of you, you may be hesitant because you will have trouble explaining your availability. It is obvious. If you want to appear and be more professional with your customers, controlling your day-to-day is a good way to do it.

How to create an ideal daily calendar as Freelance WordPress

As I mentioned before, everyone is different. What works for you might not work for Jane Smith in Seattle (especially with darker winter days). All these practices Might not match you, so you will need to pick the one that do it.

#1. Establish an awakening ritual

Whether you start working at 11 a.m. or 11 p.m., find a wake-up time that works best for you and that you always keep on a daily basis. You must also have a "morning" ritual to go there.

Get dressed. Be ready. Eat. And start your computer. Train your body to know when it's time to work.

# 2. Allow time to check messages

Zero inbox. It's something we all want, which is why email can become a major source of distraction and stress throughout the workday. I suggest you set aside an allotted time every morning (no more than an hour) to check all messages. All that remains can be treated later.

# 3. Find a reliable task manager

There is so much project and task management software out there that can be hard to find to get started. Go with something that fits your budget, has an intuitive interface and blends well with your working style, whether it's checklists, calendar notifications, or whatever.

# 4. Create your schedule

How many hours per day do you want to work and how many hours per day do you need to work? You have to find a balance between the two. Think about when you are usually the most productive.

Doing an 8-to-5 might not be the most realistic time for you, and that's fine. Just find your perfect calendar and add it to your task management tool.

#5. To be unavailable

Turn off all unnecessary devices, social media, and other non-essential distractions during working hours. If you don't have the self-control in preventing yourself from using the technology, use a distraction blocker app.
