The reality is that the Internet has opened up many opportunities for people, regardless of age, location or background, to build a sustainable online business or a side project to earn extra money online every month. And like I said, I experienced it first hand.
For the past few years, I've made it my mission to experiment with the best ways to create a sustainable online income and fulfill my dreams of self-employment. And while I've had my share of success, things haven't always been easy either. During my journey, I have launched four distinct online businesses. The first made me lose money in a few months, while I completely overestimated the size of the target audience of the second. Both closed very quickly.

Most of the “quick” and “easy” ways people talk about when it comes to making money online are not real businesses.

The internet has provided entrepreneurs and forward-thinking workers with many opportunities to make money online. But it also opened up considerable competition.
Here's the hard truth: the only ways to make lasting money online involves spending time, effort, blood, sweat and tears.
I don't want to scare you. I just want you to know that this guide is going to focus primarily on ways to earn real, lasting extra income online. Not just a few quick bucks. I want to share all the mistakes I made that got me to where I am today, so you don't have to make them and you can create a source of income for yourself. successful online.

If there's a niche you're interested in and you can build a decent following around it, start a blog and using affiliate marketing to generate income is an amazing way to make money online.
I know from experience that learning how to start a blog (not to mention make money with it) can be a daunting undertaking. The good news, however, is that it is not very expensive to blog nowadays – around $65 a year for basic costs.

It's hard to go wrong with WordPress, the CMS that powers almost a quarter of the internet. Money is in the air, and if you can successfully create an online service, tool, or marketplace that meets a rapidly growing market need, you could be on the right track. to build a very valuable business. However, it will undoubtedly require a lot of time, effort and financial resources.
Unlike many of the other businesses we're going to cover, startup founders face a whole host of variables and obstacles that can get in the way of their success.
First, you need to have a high level of experience in the industry your startup is going to operate in. This means a deep understanding of your customers, the problems they face, and an idea of the potential solutions they'll be willing to pay for. This is the minimum you need to get started.
Next, you will need to familiarize yourself with other major players in the space who could be good partners or acquisition opportunities, as well as a thorough knowledge of how to raise funds, sell your product, hire and manage top talent, and keep you financially above water.

There are two ways to make money online by creating software.
- The first follows the startup path we outlined above: You have a disruptive idea for an app or software, you validate the idea with real customers, then you fundraise to hire developers or a development studio. to build, launch and scale your software. Many digital entrepreneurs have created sustainable businesses using either:
- Create physical products that they know people in their niche will love.
- Buy low-priced products made in foreign countries, repackage them or combine them with other products, and sell them at higher prices in domestic online marketplaces.
You will certainly have more success if you can nail down the creation and sale of your own unique product, but from my own experience (and that of many other entrepreneurs), I know the extremely high costs and risks associated with launching a business based on a product.
Instead, if you can find a solid product that's already made for a reasonable price on a marketplace like AliExpress, LightInTheBox, ou Dino Direct and sell it to your audience, you will have the start of a profitable e-commerce machine.
Now, let's get into the details of how your online store works.
Whether you are selling your own new products or reselling other merchandise, you should always think about how much stock you are going to have, how you are going to finance the initial purchase costs and where you go store your inventory. Remember that even if you avoid paying rent on a storefront, you still have to store your stock somewhere.
There's another option that's become incredibly popular in recent years (and is my favorite way to run a product business), called dropshipping.
With drop shipping, you are effectively partnering with a manufacturer or wholesaler to sell their products. So you don't pay upfront costs to buy inventory, you don't keep unsold items that take up expensive warehouse space, and you don't have to worry about shipping products yourself. All you need to do is create your site, fill it with products to ship, and attract customers, with almost everything else done for you.
Sure, the price per product is higher and your margins are lower, but you can start your online store with little more than a Shopify theme and some hosted images of your products. When a customer makes a purchase, you in turn buy the product from your supplier who ships it directly to your customer.
No inventory. No manipulation of the products by yourself. No hand shipping. It sounds pretty amazing.
If you want to supplement selling on your Shopify store with other marketplaces, here are some other very lucrative options:
- Fulfilled by Amazon : Rather than drop shipping, Amazon lets you store your products in its own warehouses and make them available to premium members for free two-day delivery. It has been proven to significantly increase sales.
- Etsy : If you have handmade or artisanal products, Etsy is a great marketplace to sell them (bonus points if your product is aimed at a female audience).
