Worse, you can't view your recent pages on the homepage (as is the case with articles).

Hello to you and thank you for this tutorial.
I would all of the same have a question regarding the impact on SEO.
If I post studies as a page and I classify them into categories as suggested here (which would suit me), I end up with a jerk in my sitemap file, my page also being in "page- sitemap.xml ”than in“ category-sitemap.xml ”.
Doesn't this risk creating a penalizing duplication of content for SEO?
Thank you in advance for your answer,
Sincerely.

Hello R3m1 B,
Your concern is normal.
But I must tell you that this is truly an exceptional case. It is not advisable to do this for all pages.
Thank you and see you soon
Hello, I can't find the right plugin, I need help please.

Hello, I have the same problem as a user above, I do not have the categories tab when creating the page ... I try by all means since this afternoon but nothing is done I do not can't link a page to a category. And when I replace my page in the menu with my category. On my site it is marked in large CATEGORY MODE
which is unattractive ..
Hello,
Can you share a screenshot?
Hello,
I create a page B dynamically from a form on a page A.
I want the "category" (taxonomy) of page A to be automatically assigned also to page B.
How to do ? Is there a plugin to do this?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Fabian
Hello Moreau,
I don't know of any plugins that do this… sorry.
I thought I was going to solve my problems, but it felt new. I want to put only a specific category on the page. However, if in the field of page attributes I put the default template, nothing appears and if I put categories will appear all the categories + those I selected by the plugin. Can you solve this?
No no idea sorry.
To create specific categories for pages, i.e. categories which are not the same as for blog posts, you have this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/create-categories-for-pages-only/
Hello,
So already thank you very much for this tutorial, I was taking the lead to do that and thanks to you in two minutes it was done :).
By cons I have a little problem. I have my tabs in the “collections” menu with my “jewelry” “hats” etc. categories under the menu. When I click on jewelry for example, I have all my pages where I checked the jewelry category that appears, but not in alphabetical order. So I cannot settle this via wordpress or if a plugin is needed ..
Thank you in advance!
Hello,
You can correct this by modifying the publication date of the articles, or by choosing the order of positioning
Hello,
I changed the order (1,2,3 etc) and / or the date (1 jan, 2 jan, 3 jan etc) of my pages having the same category and yet it still does not work. Does the plugin suddenly allow you to put categories on pages but not be able to adjust them like articles?
Thanks anyway!
Hello,
So I don't know what to say for now, I'll look for a solution.
Hello, I come back to you regarding the problem I had on the order of my articles. There is the extension post sorting reloaded "which allows to put in alphabetical or other order according to the need and very easy to use.
That's it, do we ever know it can be useful for someone else 🙂
Hi Amelie,
Thanks for sharing. It's very appreciated. 🙂
Hello,
Do these new categories add an extra part to my URL?
For example if I have a category "car", will it be added to my url?
And if so, what will it take to avoid breaking my URL's?
Thanks see you soon !
Hello,
It all depends on the structure of your permalinks. It is only depending on this that your links may or may not be changed.
Hello again,
So for now, I only have a home page with pages indicating which urls include mc, like:
http://www.nomdedomaine/mot-clef-d-une-page
And I wish I had a cocoon like this:
http://www.nomdedomaine/categorie/mot-clef-de-page
how could I achieve this result?
Thank you in advance!
Hi,
Just look for a plugin that manages the categories on the pages.
Hello, your tutorial is very clear. But when I get to page creation, I don't have a tab to assign categories to it, that's the problem ...
Hello,
