You have a PDF file. You have Elementor. But how to embed a PDF in Elementor? There are 2 methods to answer this question.

  1. Using the plugin PDF Viewer For Elementor
  2. Using Elementor itself.

So let's take a look at each of these methods. But first, if you've never installed the WordPress Plugin Elementor, find out how to do it by clicking on this link.

Method 1: How to embed PDF in Elementor using WordPress PDF Viewer For Elementor plugin

First, you will need to install and activate the free plugin PDF Viewer For Elementor from the repository of WordPress plugins. Next, edit the page where you want to embed the PDF with Elementor.

Once Elementor is active, you should see the PDF Viewer widget in the left Elementor panel. Drag and drop this widget onto the page.

In the settings of the PDF Viewer widget, you can set the URL of the PDF file you want to embed in the PDF URL field. PDF URL can be the URL you have after uploading the PDF to your WordPress media library.

For example, https://monsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/mon-pdf.pdf.

This should embed the PDF on your page. Besides, from the widget settings panel, you can also set the height, width and alignment of the embedded PDF file.

Now, if you haven't uploaded the PDF to your media library yet, you can set the PDF Type field to File in the widget settings and upload your PDF using the Choose PDF field.

Once the PDF file is downloaded, it will be integrated into the page.

Using the PDF Viewer For Elementor plugin is the easiest way to embed a PDF file on your page.

However, if you don't want to install this plugin, you can use the second method to add your PDF file using Elementor.

Method 2: How to add a PDF file to a page using Elementor

This method does not display the PDF file on your page like in the first method. Instead, it will show up with the click of a button.

Here is how this method works.

Step 1: Upload the PDF to your WordPress media library and copy the URL of the downloaded file. You can get the URL by clicking on the downloaded file in your media library.

Step 2: Now edit with Elementor the page you want to embed the PDF on.

Step 3: Drag and drop the Elementor Button widget onto the page

Step 4: Now paste the URL of the PDF from step 1 into the Link field of the Button widget settings.

What is the next step ?

There are also other plugins that provide you with widgets to embed PDFs in Elementor. But I didn't include them in this tutorial because they are paid plugins. In most cases, you should be able to use one of the two free methods above to embed PDF into Elementor.

But if you don't want to use these two methods, you can take a look at other paid plugins.
