Want to add a PayPal button in Elementor?

Recently, Elementor released the latest version of the pro version of Elementor, which added three new features. One of them is the widget PayPal-Button which you can use to add a PayPal button to a page without needing to install a WordPress Plugin additional.

This widget is especially useful if you often use Elementor to create landing pages for your campaigns. You can now add a PayPal button to your landing pages to accept donations or payments.

PayPal itself is the most popular payment service widely adopted by e-Commerce websites around the world. The ability to add a PayPal button – without installing any WordPress Plugin extra – definitely gives Elementor a leg up over many other competitors.

How to add a PayPal button in Elementor

First, make sure you've upgraded your Elementor to the pro version if you haven't, as the PayPal Button widget is only available on the pro version. If you have used Elementor Pro before, update it to version 3.2 to be able to use the PayPal Button widget. The widget supports three types of transactions:

  • Checkout
  • Don
  • Subscriptions

One of the cool things is that you can set a redirect URL after your visitors have successfully completed the payment. Thanks to this, you can directly sell something without installing WooCommerce or other ecommerce plugins.

To start adding a PayPal button in Elementor, first edit with Elementor the page where you want to add the PayPal button.

In the Elementor editor, add the widget PayPal-Button to the edit box.

Once the widget is added, you can go to the settings panel to make the settings. First of all, you can open the block Pricing & Payments under the tab Content. In the field PayPal Account, you can add the email address of your PayPal account.

Select the transaction you want to accept in the option Transaction Type. Public chat Item Name, you can add the item you want to give (for example, a charitable donation). Fill in other fields accordingly (SKU, Price, Currency, Quantity, Shipping Price, and Tax).

Once you have made the necessary settings, you can open the block Button to set basic button settings. You can add the button text in the field Text, set alignment to the Alignment option, set icon (in case you want to use custom icon) to option Icon and set the position of the icon to the Position of icon.

Then you can open the block Additional options. From this block, you can add redirect URL, enable sandbox, and set custom message.

Customize the PayPal button

When you have finished making the necessary settings in the Content tab, you can switch to the tab Style to customize your PayPal button. There are two parameter blocks you can open here:

  • Button

You can open this block to set the typography (font family, font size, font style, etc.) of the button text, set the button text color, set the button background color, set the border radius of the button and define the shadow of the area.
