By default, Publications loads the latest 6 posts from your website, but you can configure it to load specific posts or pages depending on your settings. How to Add Related Items in Elementor
With Elementor, you can actually add related posts to any part of your website, not just a single post. But, since the common practice of placing related articles is on the single article, we will follow this common “rule”.
First, login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Templates-> Theme Builder.
In the popup that will open, select Single Item for the type of model, Article for the Type of Publications, and give a name to your model then click on the button Create a template to start creating your model.
Select one of the templates available in the template library and click the button Insert to make it appear in Elementor's editor (you can also create a unique post template from scratch).
Once the template is loaded in Elementor's editor, drag the Posts widget to a section where you want to add the related posts (normally at the bottom of the page).

Click the option Request under the tab Contents to see the available settings. In the section Source, set the option Similar.
Elementor lets you add related articles based on author or term (tags, categories, and formats).
To define it, click on the field located under Include by and select the term (or author) in the next field.
Other options are also available if you want to define very specific linked related articles. You can also filter articles by date.

To customize your related articles, you can return to the option of Layout. You can set number of posts in related posts, number of columns, image ratio, etc…
Click on the button PUBLISH once you are done.
