What is an A / B test?

This is where A/B testing comes in. You view two or more featured image variations and analyze the reaction of visiteurs. The version that gets more favorable reactions from users will be preferred over others.

How to add an A / B test in WordPress

The first thing you need to do is install and activate the Featured Image Optimizer plugin. For more details, see our step-by-step guide on how install a WordPress plugin.

After activation, all you have to do is create a new article or modify an existing one. Below the featured image selection box, you'll find two new boxes named “Featured Image A” and “Featured Image B”.

You must add two different images in each featured image area by clicking on " Set Featured Image A "&" Set Featured Image B". Then in the section " Featured Image performance" , click on " Activate Featured Image plugin for this post"

Now just publish your article and visit your site. The plugin will display one of two images at random.

You will find there statistics on the image that has had the most clicks. You can also reset the statistics clicking on " Reset Data"
