Earlier this year, Iai published a survey for Woo builders on DotheWoo.io. After a month, Iai had 43 responses and Iai made a podcast about it. But I wanted to share the results here on BobWP. (Optional to listen to the podcast instead at the end)

The results at a glance

Here are the results directly from the survey.

2020 impacts

Finally, I asked those who responded to the survey to share the direct impacts of 2020 on their business.

The effects of COVID-19 actually prompted me to start my business. Independent projects in other areas have declined, but I have noticed the emergence of new websites (especially with e-commerce). I'm just getting started so things are slow, but I expect 2021 to pick up speed!

Slower than expected growth

Our service has grown by over 80% and we have entered into new partnerships in Woo and EDD with major players in the space, preparing us for a fantastic 2021.

Lack of clients

We sell a key product that allows businesses to get paid online (with or without WooCommerce). 2020 has seen a surge in new online membership and subscription business, as well as offline businesses looking to build an online model. Being positioned closer to the money has been a key success factor for us. Along with this, I tend to believe that more business owners have become do-it-yourselfers, which is partly responsible for the growth of our paid support plans.

More and more people are asking for free or discounted fares because they are hit hard by the pandemic.

If you prefer, you can listen to the podcast.
