This is a frequently asked question by beginners. There are many reasons why your blog no longer sends email. All of this comes from your hosting service.

Are you dedicated or shared?

Shared hosting services set up Several techniques to combat spam, this is why analyzes are carried out on all outgoing mails in order to detect spam content.

The concern is that I can not tell you exactly what words or phrases lead to putting your email in the blacklist (so not sent).

Only let me reiterate what I have already had to recommend in the past: Don't use WordPress for your newsletter (unless you have a dedicated server).

The reasons for this recommendation are clearly explained in an article we wrote.

So it's best to use third-party services to manage your newsletter, and on occasion, I recommend our tutorial on AWeber et MailChimp .

In this tutorial, in addition to the email marketing services that we have already offered you, I will show you how to send emails with Mandrill, which is another service developed by the MailChimp team.

Unlike Mailchimp, Mandrill is only used to send emails, so no templates or predefined campaign programming, which gives you absolute control. Like MailChimp, Mandrill is free up to a sending quota (free up to 12 emails per month).

Using WordPress Mandrill

We will first start by downloading and installing the plugin " wpMandrill On (you can also install it from your dashboard).

After installing the plugin, you need to create a Mandrill account

After creating a new account, you will be asked to fill in some information about yourself. I leave it to you to do it.

We will now retrieve the Keys API that we will use on the plugin. Click on the link " Get API Key On the Mandrill dashboard home page.

A modal window will ask you to enter your password again, as API Keys is very sensitive information.

  • The email address to which a response can be provided " Reply-To-Form ».

I invite you to click on " click track "And" Track open »To analyze clicks and opening emails. Once it's done, save your settings again.

A test submission form will appear below the " Save Changes ". You can use it to do tests.

While performing the test, you will see a notification displayed at the very top of the settings page, informing about how to send.

If the sending is successful then that's it, your blog will now be able to send emails safely. You can return to the Mandrill dashboard at any time to view the dispatch report, and statistics on openings.
