Let's face it, writing emails is not fun. This requires time, rewrites, and replay. But as the owner of a web business, you send emails daily. You practically have a business that depends on emails. Which means that you spend several hours each day improving them.

Which also means if you streamline all of this, to save time. For example, you could use this time to offer better support, generate more projects, and build your brand. But to do all of this, you need to master the tool that all successful freelancers through the use of email templates.

So here are some useful templates to give you a head start. Add them to your program newsletter to save time, become more productive, and grow your web development business.

Template # 1: Looking for a work orientation

If you've ever noticed how the salesperson job works, you'll know that they immediately ask for referrals after a deal closes. It's almost like business referral research is the last step in the closing process.

As sellers, you should also make such requests as part of your project transfer process. Here is the email that you might send:

line Subject: Do you know anyone who could use my services? Email: Hey [name], I just wanted to check and ask if you could recommend me to any of your contacts who could use my services. As you can imagine, references make great prospects. So, if you know someone who could benefit from my services, I will really appreciate a presentation. I would be very grateful for this favor. Tip # 1: Name a specific person who could engage you through your client's contact.

Remember to add the following text as a template:

“In fact, I just looked at your LinkedIn contacts and realized that you are connected with Mr. _________. It would be great if you could recommend me. Or, someone else you can think of. " 

Do not think you'll be scary (or will look like a stalker on LinkedIn!). You are just smart (you must do to increase your income opportunitiesand it is easier for someone who knows you to suggest to others.

Tip 2: Presentation text that goes everywhere:

Hi, [name of friend]. I introduce you to [your name]. [He / she] is the designer who made my site, and [he / she] is perfect: solid design skills, a good work ethic and very responsive. I think you get some benefit from working with [him / her]. Contact details: [your e-mail address, phone number, website].

By adding this introductory text, you will save your client time and effort to rewrite (something they will surely appreciate).

Template n ° 2: Onboarding clients

When you have a project and you're ready to go, it's time to send an “OnBoarding” email.

The email "   Is a chance to tell the client how the project will unfold. It eliminates the unnecessary exchanges that occur when the customer does not have a clue about what will happen in the end.

Subject line: Quick Update Email: Hey [first name], Thank you so much for choosing me for your project. I'm really excited to start working on it. Looks like I have all the necessary details. If necessary, I will come back to you. If not, I'll update you on [date] with details on how the project is progressing and hopefully have the first version ready for your review. Tip: If you use project management software like Basecamp or Trello, introduce your client to your onboarding email. Say something like this:

“In addition, you will receive an invitation from [project management tool]. We use it to keep track of our projects. It would be great if you could join us. It will be much easier for you to follow the progress of the project ”.

Template # 3: Searching for testimonials

The best time to send a testimonial email request is when a project is freshly delivered because a customer is very sensitive at that time.

Subject line: Could you give me a testimonial? Email: Hey [first name], I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to ask if you could write me a testimonial. Or, if you prefer, here is what I wrote: [Testimonial text] If you agree with the latter, I will add it to my portfolio (with your photo). In case you want to change something, feel free to make the changes you want. I would be very grateful if you could spare 5 minutes for this. Thank you, [your name]

Tip # 1: Always be in the "testimony" mode.

So if you send a version or a prototype or anything that wows your customer and they send you great feedback, you can ask them if it is possible to use that as a testimonial.

Here's a message that you can send:

Hey [first name],

Glad you enjoyed the job, and thank you very much for your kind words! Could it be possible for me to use your comments as a testimonial?

We look forward to seeing you!

[Your name]

Tip # 2: For testimonial text, avoid generic testimonials like "service provider" or "reliable contractor".

Instead, focus on how you solved a customer's issues. For inspiration, do some research to see what your competition is used to writing on their page.

Tip # 3: Try the following easy-to-use testimonial form:

I approached {business name} because __________. {Person on behalf of the company} helped me by __________. The result was __________. One thing that Iai appreciated was their __________. Iai found the experience __________. I recommend {business name} for people who need __________.
