This method is simpler and is recommended for users who do not need to write mathematical equations frequently. For this method, we are going to use Unicode characters and insert them directly into the post editor.
Unicode is the encoding standard for the purpose of providing character encoding support for all languages. It is supported by all website builders, operating systems and mobile devices.
Here's how to add math characters in WordPress using Unicode.
1. Adding Unicode math characters on Mac
On Mac computers, you can add math operators and characters from the toolbar at the top. Just click on Edit »Emoji & Symbols or press Command + Control + Space keys on your keyboard.
This will bring up the app 'Character Viewer'in a pop-up. From here you can select the symbols and characters you want to insert.

A double click on a character is enough to insert it in the WordPress article editor.
You can also format characters in the Post Editor using the Script and Superscript options on the Paragraph toolbar.
2. Adding Unicode math characters on Windows
Windows users can use a similar app to insert math operators and special characters in the WordPress post editor.

Just open the app character Map clicking on Start »Windows Accessories» Character Map. This will bring up commonly used characters on the screen.
The Character Map application supports many different encodings, including Unicode. You can find mathematical operators by going right away Group By : and selecting Unicode Subrange.
After locating a character, you need to click to select it and then copy it. Now go back to the WordPress post editor and paste the character.

3. Write math equations in WordPress using LaTeX

4. Writing math equations in WordPress using MathML
MathML is a markup language designed to easily publish mathematical equations to the web. It uses semantic XML markup similar to HTML.

WordPress does not support MathML, and if you add the MathML code in the post editor, it will not render as well.
Fortunately, there is a plugin that fixes this problem.

After activation, just edit the post or page where you want to add the math equation. In the article editing screen, click on the button capacitor positive (+) lead to add a new block and add the custom HTML block to your content.
You can then paste your MathML code inside the custom HTML block.
After that, you can save your post or page and view it in a new tab to see beautifully transformed MathML on your website.
MathML uses the MathJax JavaScript engine to convert your tags into readable math equations. It also supports LaTeX commands.
To add your LaTeX code, just add the MathML block to your content editor.
In the text box of the MathML block, you can paste your LaTeX code like this:
[your equation goes here]
You can then save and preview your post to see it beautifully displayed in your blog or page.
