How to install and configure the "BackUp WordPress" plugin

Being available on WordPress, it is a plugin that you can install directly from your dashboard.

After installing the plugin, a submenu " Sauvegarde "Will be added to the" Tools ". Access it to proceed with the backup of your blog.

This new page is composed of several tabs. Among others, we have:

daily BDD

This tab allows you to make daily backups of your database. data

Backup-to-the-bd

You have at your disposal 3 links that allow you to start the backup, access the settings and delete the schedule.

complete Weekly

This tab allows you to make full backups of your blog (Base of data + files). You also have the same links available to run the schedule, access the settings or delete the schedule.

Please note: : Each backup can be downloaded as a compressed zip file.

Add a schedule

This tab allows you to create a custom backup.

  • You can choose the saved content (Base of data and/or files)
  • Schedules, by default the backup is manual
  • The maximum number of backups to keep. The oldest ones will be deleted.
  • The email address that will receive the backup notification.

The plugin also allows you to save your files on Dropbox, which becomes essential when you do not have enough storage space on your server.
