Then set the limit on the number of backups to keep. To do this, you must modify the value " Maximum Backup Files ". By default, this field is worth 10 for 10 backup files to the maximum. Old backups will be deleted.

The WP-DBManager plugin also gives you the ability to manage your various backups, including:
