We started this tutorial by showing you How to install Revolution Slider on your WordPress blog. Now let's learn a bit more about the interface of Revolution Slider.

This step is not insignificant, because it is important to understand the interface of Revolution Slider to boost your productivity.

We will therefore start directly with the presentation of the plugin's welcome once you have click on the link " Revolution Slider On the left side menu of your dashboard.

Presentation of the welcome of Revolution Slider

The first element you will notice on this interface is the horizontal bar where the name of the plugin is located with two buttons "General Settings" and "Help".

  • Create a new "Slider"

I remind you that these sections may be different depending on the version of Revolution Slider that you have at home. At the time of writing this tutorial, I am using the latest version of Revolution Slider namely: 5.2.6

First configuration of Revolution Slider

These configurations will allow you to change the behavior of Revolution Slider. So it's a delicate operation that you do not have to do, but since we're going to explore all the features Of Revolution Slider, so I can not go on without saying a word to you.

So we go for that, click on " General settings On the first section at the very top of the plugin home page.

You will notice a new window that appears and offers several options to choose from.

So here you can:

  • Define who can access Revolution Slider with the option " View Permission Plugin ". You will be able to choose between the administrator, the publishers or the authors.
  • Include the global libraries of Revolution Slider. I recommend you leave this option on " On ».
  • The pages where Revolution Slider will load, this will prevent WordPress from loading Revolution Slider everywhere, especially since it is not a lightweight plugin.
  • Insert JavaScript in the footer. Only developers can understand. For the rest ignore this option.
  • Defer the loading of JavaScript. Once again, it's an option for developers.
  • Enable export of the format Markup ».
  • The URL for loading fonts. If you want to use Google Fonts, this location will be useful.
  • Set Widths for Devices for Mode " Responsive Grid "(Flexible Grid)
  • Enable notifications
  • Activate missing activations section
  • Reinstall Revolution Slider. This option is useful when there is a problem in the database and the Revolution Slider tables have been modified or deleted.

Once all are ready, you can click on " Update ».

That's it for this tutorial. Tomorrow we will begin to create sliders. I hope you are well acclimated. Also, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask them.
