Much of the experience I have with WordPress results from tacit knowledge: the general know-how that I acquire usually results from great practice. The problem with tacit knowledge in teaching is that other people might miss those important things that it would not be easy to teach because they seem basic.
So today I will introduce you how to use browser tabs and windows efficiently. This may sound obvious to you, but I think you will be quite surprised by what you read.
But before you start, take the time to take a look at How to install a WordPress theme, How many plugins to install on WordPress.
Then let's get to work!
Save time with better tab management
When I work on a website I almost always have at least two tabs open: one for the dashboard and one for seeing changes on the front-end.

More generally, I keep one tab open for each individual website I work on, since navigating between screens on the dashboard and on the UI can be quite slow. It is much faster to have two tabs open both for adding a new plugin and one for editing articles (for example, for add a shortcode that the plugin provides).
Two tabs for editing articles
The first place you should use multiple tabs is the WordPress article editor. Of course WordPress offers the " Customizer ", but it must be said that the latter is not always suitable for different situations, especially when the WordPress theme does not offer options on the latter.
So not everything can be done from a window. Keep an edit tab open, and open another tab to see the different changes. If your article is being written, by clicking on "Preview" a new tab will open where you can see a preview of the article in question. If your article is published, you will have to click on " See article , But instead make a right click then click on " open the link in a new tab ».
Here's what it will look like on your browser.
One tab per task
If I make a lot of changes on a client's website, especially if I install plugins, if I modify widgets, if I modify navigation menus and pages, doing it from a single tab quickly becomes complicated since the WordPress dashboard (when loaded) can be very slow. The solution is to assign each task to each tab on your browser.

Work both while logged in and offline
This is something that promises to be complicated because in some cases we need to see how a feature (or a WordPress theme) occurs both when a user is logged in and when not.

Some people install multiple browsers at the same time, but this solution has a reputation for being limited, because if you have to test for example user roles, your tests will be limited to the number of browsers available today. It is in response to this that Google Chrome not only offers private browsing, but also users.
All you have to do is click on the username that appears at the top right, and click on "Change user profile". A new window will appear where you can click on " Add a new person ».
To switch to "private browsing" mode, click on the Google Chrome menu and click on " New incognito window ».
In summary…
Managing tabs and windows efficiently is one thing that can save you time during all of your online tasks, and is especially useful with WordPress. Do not hesitate to share our article these few tips for working faster.

Opening two tabs simultaneously, that might be an interesting idea, but I don't think it changes much. In fact, the slowness you allude to in this article is more the result of a bad connection. This is the experience that speaks.
Hello,
OUi I confirm that this is much more related to the connection.
