How can you increase visitor engagement is a question that deserves a lottery bonus. We've tried several times here on BlogPasCher to offer you tips and practices that might help you improve visitor engagement. One of the aspects that we developed here and there was the toolbar.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to boost the engagement of your visitors with the toolbar "Swifty" For WordPress.
What is the Swifty bar and how does it go about boosting engagement?
Swifty is a WordPress plugin that adds a toolbar at the foot of each post. This bar displays the article category, author, and social media sharing links.
it also displays the estimated time it takes to read the article in question with a progress bar that changes as the page is scrolled down.
Most social media sharing goes out of view when the user starts reading the article. The link to comments, author and categories are not visible while scrolling the page as well.

This is why some visitors leave the page without doing anything more.
There are, it's true, some plugins that make the share bar ubiquitous. This is the case of the plugin Floating Social Bar. which often appears above articles. However, Swifty goes further in that it offers other information that is equally useful (categories and author information).
How to configure the plugin
First of all, you have to install the plugin available on WordPress.org. After activating the plugin, you must navigate to the location " Settings> Swifty Bar To configure the plugin.

The first option on this settings page allows you to disable the bar. Make sure this box is not checked. This option has been added only for debugging.
The most important option is to choose "Show on which post types". This option allows you to choose the type of content (Articles, pages). Make sure to check this option, otherwise the bar will not show.
The rest of the options are fairly easy to understand. The default options work on any site, so you don't have to do anything there.
Swifty comes with 7 different color schemes. You need to choose a color scheme that fits perfectly with your theme's color scheme.
You can also disable the features of the Swifty bar in the " Enable / Disable Swifty Bar Modules". All you have to do is check the box of a module so that it is deactivated. This is especially useful if you don't want to display a particular social network in the Swifty bar.
Don't forget to click on the save button to save your settings. Now you can visit your blog and see how it all comes together.
