You need to know that it is essential to keep your plugins up-to-date because updates usually come in Fix bugs or for bridging a security gap. But before learning to update your WordPress pluginsyou must learn to recognize a plugin that needs an update.
If an update is available for any plugin installed on your blog, you are unlikely to miss it. And for good reason, by logging into your WordPress dashboard (on the left column) you will see the number of updates available:
In our case, we have only one update available. To know which plugin is affected by this update and to apply it, we can proceed from 2 ways :
1- By clicking on the button at the top " Updates ". In the page that appears, check the box in front of the name of the plugin (here it is WP Super Cache) And finally click on the button "Update extensions".
NB: To know the details and the modifications made to this update, I can click on the button "See the details of version 1.3.1".

2- The other method to update our plugin is to click on the button "Extensions". In the list of installed plugins, we see a yellow band informing us that a new version of our plugin is available. You will see this yellow band whenever there are updates.
If I click on "Show details for version 1.3.1", a page like this will be displayed with all the information about the application in question:
To update our extension " WP Super Cache ", Click on "Update automatically". After a few seconds the following page is displayed:
Congratulations, your plugin is up to date. To check, I go to the installed extensions page. The old version 1.3 of my plugin has been replaced by the new version 1.3.1.
Now, if I want to delete a plugin it's easy. In the Installed Extensions page, I first disable the extension by clicking the button "Disable", Then on the button " Remove " :
On the page that appears, I click on the button "Yes, delete these files":
