SEO with search engines is not what it was before. He has evolved a lot.

Take for example ... Today, you no longer need to spend a lot of time creating thousands of back links to improve your ranking with search engines. What you really need is build a good site web or blog (with fast loading time),write quality content that helps people solve their problems. You must also invite these people to share your content because for search engines, it is now a significant quality index.

Manually building thousands of links with a high Pagerank is very expensive, and even if you have the money, it will take you months or even years to achieve an acceptable result. For those who have value to bring without having the necessary competence in natural referencing, the Content marketing looks like LA solution par excellence.

What is Content marketing ?
It is actually a form of promotion based on the quantity and quality content. The goal here is to attract, seduce and engage a target audience.

Fundamentally, le Content marketing is the art of communicating with your customers and prospects without selling. Instead of trying to turn them into a slot machine, you need to provide them with information that will make them smarter. If you provide them with useful, consistent, and valuable information, you can almost be sure that they will reward you for actions such as purchasing your products and services.

As you can see, content marketing is not just about publishing articles. This form of marketing in its paid form is in my opinion different from the paid search.

What is the difference between content marketing and paid search?

The
Content marketing is free as long as you write your articles yourself. And even if you had to pay someone to do it for you, it's still cheaper than advertising on Google AdWords where, prices keep climbing year by year.

Be careful not to outsource this service with anyone. Many of them try to sell you translations of articles which, moreover, are very often badly done. Stay away from these people. Work with professionals who are not only recognized, but who also have a good SEO on Alexa.com for example.

Long-term effectiveness
It does not matter if it is paid or free, content marketing is much more effective in the long run than paid search. Well-referenced content generally remains so for a long time, while to keep its first place Google thanks to the AdWords service for example, you will have to spend a fortune which also does not guarantee you a return on investment commensurate with the financial risk.

Instead of investing in short-term solutions that can improve your ranking in a few days and undo it when you have nothing left to pay, the best way, in my opinion, would be to invest or invest in sustainable solutions and not expensive at all. You do the work once and you enjoy it as long as you are on the web.

It is important to note that content marketing is only really effective when it is based on certain pillars:

  • Quality  - Search engines (Google) place a lot of importance on the relevance of a content. Attention, I'm not talking about the relevance of keywords or their provision, no I'm talking about the relevance of your content. Publish relevant and useful articles.
  • The amount - relevance is only effective here when it is associated with quantity. Once again, it is not a question here of publishing a maximum of article. In order for your content marketing to be effective and bring you many visitors, you must publish as many relevant and useful articles as possible. The more you publish around a specific topic, the more chances you have to generate visitors sent by the search engines.
  • Frequency - The frequency of publication also plays an important role in effective content marketing. For example, you could plan the publication of your articles. Preferably, choose the same time for all your publications.
  • Detailed content - short items tend to get fewer links than longer items. So post articles of at least 500 words. In general, the longer and more relevant an article is, the better it is referenced. I said well " generally ". Above all, emphasize quality.
  • Social profiles - A successful content marketing strategy is most effective when paired with social networking profiles. These different networks will allow you to promote your articles.
  • Le Marketing by email - Here is a cousin who reinforces his effectiveness. So be sure to have one or more capture forms on your blog (sidebar - bottom of article - popup). This form of marketing is effective enough to drive traffic to each new article published on your blog.
  • The catchy title - no matter the quality of your article, if your title is not catchy, no one will read it.
  • The promotion - Having good articles is not enough, you have to promote these. Here is the deal, the more your articles are spread on the internet, the more they are visited and, above all, shared. Google places a lot of importance on these two factors when referencing a blog.

Content is king and it will not be tomorrow that it will be dethroned.

Since I discovered content marketing and its formidable efficiency, I now devote all my efforts because more than 95% of the traffic generated by my main blog comes from Google. No other source of traffic will earn you as much as search engines as long as you do the right thing.
