Divi allows you to place sliders in full width sections, making your sliders span the full width of the browser. Divi sliders (Sliders) support parallax backgrounds, as well as video backgrounds!
How to add a full-width Diapo module from Divi
Before you can add a full-width slider module to your page, you must first jump into Divi Builder. Once the Divi theme installed on your Website, you will notice a button Use Divi Builderabove the post editor whenever you create a new page. Click on this button to activate Divi Builder and access all the Divi Builder modules. Then click on the button Use Visual Builder to start the generator in visual mode. You can also click the button Use Visual Builder when you browse your Website in the foreground if you are logged into your WordPress dashboard.
Once you are in the Visual Builder, you can click the gray plus button to add a new module to your page. New modules can only be added inside rows. If you are starting a new page, remember to add a row to your page first.
Locate the fullwidth slider module in the list of modules and click on it to add it to your page. The list of mods is searchable, which means you can also type the word "Slide" and then click enter to automatically find and add the full-width slider module! Once the module is added, you will be greeted by the module options list. These options are separated into three main groups: Contents , Design et Advanced .
Use Case Example: Adding a Fullwidth Slider Hero Section to Your Home Page
A full-width slider is a great way to showcase multiple CTAs above the threshold of your homepage. The combination of images and content can really give your section a professional feel that stands out.
For this example, I'll add a full-width slide to serve as the main section on a home page.
Using Visual Builder, add a Fullwidth section at the top of your web page. Then insert the Fullwidth Slider module into your new section. On the Content tab of the full width slide settings, click + Add a new item to create your first slide.
In the slide settings of your first slide, update the following options:
Content options
En-head : [enter the title of the slide]
Button text : [enter the button text]
Contents : [enter the text content of the slide]
Button URL : [enter the destination URL of the Slide button]
Background image : [enter the image that will serve as the backdrop for the slide]
Design options
Use background overlay : YES
Background overlay color : rgba (0,0,0,0.2) this overlay slightly darkens the background image to make the text more readable.
Save slide settings
Now duplicate the slide you just created and update the new slide with new content as needed. Repeat this for all the slides you want to add.
That's all. For this example, I'm only including two slides, but the result is an effective fullwidth hero slider with multiple calls to action that engages the user to click the button for more information. Since this is your main call to action for your Website, I suggest running split tests on your full-width slide using Divi Leads and seeing which one converts best.
Slide Full Content Options
In the content tab, you will find all the content elements of the module, such as text, images and icons. All that controls what appears in your module will always be found in this tab.
arrows
Choose whether or not you want to display the left and right navigation arrows.

Button text size
This setting can be used to increase or decrease the size of the text in the button. The button adapts as the text size increases and decreases.
Button text color
By default, the buttons adopt the accent color of your theme as defined in the Theme Customizer. This option allows you to assign a custom text color to the button of this module. Select your custom color using the color picker to change the button color.
Button background color
By default, the buttons have a transparent background color. This can be changed by selecting the desired background color from the color picker.
Width of the button border
All Divi buttons have a 2px border by default. This border can be increased or decreased using this setting. Borders can be removed by entering a value of 0.

Button border radius
The radius of the border affects the roundness of the corners of your buttons. By default, the buttons in Divi have a small border radius that rounds the corners by 3 pixels. You can reduce this value to 0 to create a square button or significantly increase it to create buttons with circular edges.
Spacing of the letters of the button
Letter spacing affects the space between each letter. If you want to increase the space between each letter in your button text, use the range slider to adjust the space or enter the desired spacing size in the input field to the right of the slider. The input fields support different measurement units, which means you can enter "px" or "em" depending on your size value to change its unit type.

Advanced options full-width slide module
On the advanced tab, you'll find options that more experienced web designers might find useful, such as custom CSS and HTML attributes. Here you can apply custom CSS to any of the module's many elements. You can also apply custom CSS classes and IDs to the module, which can be used to customize the module in your child theme's style.css file.
CSS ID
Enter an optional CSS ID to use for this module. An ID can be used to create a custom CSS style or to link to particular sections of your page.
CSS class
Enter the optional CSS classes to use for this module. A CSS class can be used to create custom CSS styling. You can add multiple classes, separated by a space. These classes can be used in your Divi child theme or in the custom CSS style sheet that you add to your page or to your website using the Divi theme options or the Divi Builder page settings.
Custom CSS
Custom CSS can also be applied to the module and any of the module's internals. In the Custom CSS section, you will find a text field where you can add custom CSS style sheets directly to each element. CSS entries in these settings are already wrapped in style tags. So just enter the CSS rules separated by semicolons.
Automatic animation
If you want the cursor to slide automatically, without the visitor having to click the next button, enable this option, then adjust the rotation speed below if you wish.
Automatic animation speed (in ms)
Here you can indicate how fast the cursor fades between each slide, if the 'Auto-animate' option is enabled above. The higher the number, the longer the pause between each rotation.
Continue Auto slide on Hover
Turning on this will allow auto-slide to continue on the hover of the mouse.
Hide content on mobile
As the screen size gets smaller on mobile devices, screen real estate becomes more valuable. Sometimes it's a good idea to turn off some less important cursor elements to reduce the cursor size and make it more readable. Enabling this setting hides the cursor text content on the mobile.
Hide CTA on mobile
As the screen size gets smaller on mobile devices, screen real estate becomes more valuable. Sometimes it's a good idea to turn off some less important cursor elements to reduce the cursor size and make it more readable. Activating this setting will hide the cursor call to action buttons on mobile.
View image / video on mobile
As the screen size gets smaller on mobile devices, screen real estate becomes more valuable. Sometimes it's a good idea to turn off some less important cursor elements to reduce the cursor size and make it more readable. Enabling this setting displays slide images and videos on mobile (they are disabled by default).
Visibility
This option allows you to control the devices on which your module appears. You can choose to deactivate your module on tablets, smartphones or desktops individually. This is useful if you want to use different mods on different devices, or if you want to simplify the mobile design by eliminating certain elements from the page.
Content options for full-width slide module elements
Title
Set the text of your cursor title here.
Button text
If you want to display a button below your slide content, enter the button text here. Leave this field blank if you do not want to display a button.
Contents
Enter the body content of your cursor here. Note that the amount of text you enter here will determine the height of your slides.
Button URL
If you display a button, insert a valid web URL into this field to set the destination link.
Drag image
If you add a slide image, it will appear to the left of your slide text above your slide background. If you don't specify a slide image, you'll be left with a centered, text-only slide. Because the height of each slide is determined by the text, if your slide image is tall enough, it will fall below the bottom of the slide, creating an aligned image at the bottom.
Note that the height of a slide with a slide image can be determined by a taller slide in the slider. Make sure your slide image is large enough to fit if you want to have an image aligned at the bottom. For readability reasons, slide images only appear in column, column, or 1 column width sliders. Likewise, slide images will not display on browser widths smaller than 768 pixels. Slide image widths are defined below. We recommend that your slide images are at least as wide.
Video slide
If you add a slide video, it will appear to the left of your slide text above your slide background. If you don't specify a slide video, you'll be on the left with a centered, text-only slide. Because the height of each slide is determined by the text, if your slide image is tall enough, it will fall below the bottom of the slide, creating an aligned image at the bottom.
Video pause
Allow video to be paused by other players when they start playing
Background picture
If set, this image will be used as the background for this module. To remove a background image, just remove the URL from the settings field.
The height of a slide is determined by the amount of text you add. If you have multiple slides, the slider will take the height of the tallest slide.
The width of your cursor is determined by the width of the browser. Based on standard screen sizes, we recommend that your images be at least 1280px by 768px.
Position of the background image
By default, background images are displayed in the center of the slide. You can use this setting to change the placement at the top, bottom, left, right, or in any of the four corners of the slide.
Background image size
By default, the background images will be proportionally enlarged to ensure that they fill the entire slide. However, you can use this option to change the default behavior. "Coverage" is the default behavior, which scales the image to cover the entire slide area. “Fit” will also force the image to cover the entire area, however, it will force the height and width of the image to match the height and width of the cursor. This may result in a distorted image, but it will prevent the image from being cropped. "Actual Size" does not scale the image and displays it at its native size.
Background color
If you just want to use a solid color background for your slide, use the color picker to set a background color.
MP4 background video
All videos should be downloaded in both .MP4 .WEBM formats to ensure maximum compatibility in all browsers. Download the .MP4 version here. Important Note: Video backgrounds are disabled from mobile devices. Instead, your bkacground image will be used. For this reason, you should set both a background image and a background video to ensure better results.

Use the color picker to choose a color for the text overlay.
Text Overlay Border Radius
The radius of the border affects the roundness of the corners of the text overlay area. By default, the corners have a slightly rounded edge of 3 pixels. You can reduce this value to 0 to create a rectangular box or increase the value to make the corners even more rounded.
Custom Color Arrows
When you hover over a slider module, arrows appear to allow the visitor to navigate through each slide. By default, these arrows inherit the color of the main text of the slide. However, you can define a custom color for these arrows using this setting.
Dot Nav Custom Color
In each cursor, point navigation items appear below the cursor content. These elements allow the user to navigate the cursor. You can define a custom color to use for these elements using the color picker in this setting.
Vertical alignment of the slide image
This setting determines the vertical alignment of your slide image. Your image can be centered vertically or aligned at the bottom of your slide.
Text color

Hello,
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I confess to being completely lost and failing to do something that should be of biblical simplicity:
delete one (or more) extra slide in my divi slideshow
I have of course seen that in the list of slides of a created slideshow, to the right of each line corresponding to a slide we find the icon of a "trash can" and three small dots: but clicking on the trash can... adds a copy of the current slide! and the context menu does not contain any line allowing deletion.
I unearthed somewhere (I don't remember where) that I had to “position myself on the slide to be deleted” (make sure it was on the screen) but that didn't change anything.
I work on Mac in Mojave system. And I tried to connect to WordPress in Firefox as in Chrome
Thank you so much for any help you can...and sorry for such a dumb question
Hello
Thank you for this tutorial, it is really complete!
Do you know if it is possible to change or even remove the animation from the text? because not default it goes from bottom to top on the background images and it is not very beautiful I think.
Thank you
Hello Olivier,
Do you look in the settings of the text in question?
Hello,
Is it possible that clicking a slide button redirects the URL link to a new tab?
Thank you in advance for your lights !
Hello ! thank you for your article. my problem is the background video not showing on mobile, my client absolutely wanted it. I thought I had found my answer because according to your article, in "Advanced" there is the possibility of activating the videos on mobile which are deactivated by default. but I did not find this possibility on my divi. Thank you for your answer…
Yanis
Hello Yanis,
Is your Divi up to date?
