In 2014, Google announced the release of Material Design ". Their original goal was to tackle questions with the design of apps for Android devices. The argument was that the " Flat Design "Does not display well on small screens. They felt that the design lacks clear visual cues and hampers the usability of mobile users.
Matías Duarte, vice president of Google Design, explained:
“Unlike real paper, our 'Material Design' can grow and adapt intelligently. the Material offers physical and flat surfaces, with shadows that give meaning to what you can touch ”.
And that's basically what hardware design is now: a way of making elements of an app appear touchable.
By releasing the new language and guidelines of Material Design, Google hopes to solve the problems of UX (User Experience) and the confusion of users of Android applications. Two years later, their Framework has gone beyond the field of mobile applications and is now a principle regularly used in web design.

The perfect example of a site to learn application design with the " Material Design ". Behance has countless tips and examples you can use as inspiration. A search for " Material Design Within their site will just show you how the technology of Material Design Is omnipresent. Here you will find inspiration for something as simple as an icon to design a complete website.
4 - Google Design's Material Design Awards
A year after Google launched Material Design, they honored six of the best applications using the Framework in "Material Design Awards ". You will recognize a large number of sites on this honorific list. If you want to see the potential of Material Design ”, We encourage you to take a look at this list. 5 - Made with Material
Dating from November 2014, this site offers a great source of inspiration for the " Material Design ". Most of the site features high resolution screenshots of websites and mobile apps that use the " Material Design ". And while it can be easy to get lost in these inspiring examples, don't forget to check out the documentation they have included for developers at the top right sidebar. Part of the family of sites Uplabs MaterialUp is all about material design: sample websites, mobile app screenshots, tools, tips, and more. If ever a site were to be named as the main source of inspiration for "designers", Pinterest will share this honor with Behance. With a quick search for the term "Material Design You have instant access to videos and images from websites and applications that use this framework.
