How to allow articles to be added to favorites in WordPress

Upon activation, you must visit Settings WP Favorite Posts to configure the plugin settings.

The first option on the settings page will allow you to allow registered users to add articles to favorites. You should leave this box unchecked if you want all visitors to be able to use this feature as well.

Then you need to choose where to display the "add to favorite" link. The plugin can automatically appear before or after the content of the article. Advanced users can also choose the custom method and use the tag <?php wpfp_link() ?> inside the files of WordPress theme.

Now you need to choose the icon of the image you want to display next to the “Add to favorites” link. The plugin offers a few images that you can use. You can also upload your own image or not display an image at all.

After that, you can choose how many articles you want to display on a favorite articles page. The default option is 20, you can change that if you want.

Finally, you can activate or deactivate the statistics. You'll need to keep it enabled if you want to show most liked posts in your blog's sidebar.

Remember to save your options.

You can now visit a single article on your website and you will see the "Add to your favorites" link.

How to display similar articles on WordPress

You can display the articles on your sidebar on WordPress. Here is how you can do that.

How to view a user's favorite articles

This plugin stores favorite articles for non-registered users in cookies. For registered users, it saves its favorite items in your WordPress database.

Here's how you'll be able to view each user's favorite posts.
